Reality television personality Armando Rubio is facing a difficult separation from his daughter, Hannah, who is hospitalized in Phoenix, Arizona, with a brain bleed. Rubio, who is currently in Mexico, was reportedly denied entry into the United States after his request for temporary humanitarian parole was rejected.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervisor informed Rubio that such parole has not been granted since 2025, according to reports. This prevents him from being at his 13-year-old daughter's bedside as doctors work to determine the cause of her condition.
Rubio shared updates with his Instagram followers on Thursday, describing the waiting period as "incredibly difficult." He stated that doctors are continuing to conduct extensive scans and are searching for the cause of Hannah's brain bleed. The neurologist hopes to have results from scans completed by Friday, and if those do not provide answers, a more invasive procedure is planned within the next one to two days.
"We're holding onto hope and trusting that each test brings us one step closer to understanding what's happening," Rubio wrote. He expressed the pain of not being able to comfort his daughter, calling it the "hardest thing I've ever experienced."
Hannah was initially transported from their small town in Mexico, which lacked the necessary testing equipment, to a medical facility in Arizona. She was subsequently airlifted to the state's capital. Her mother is with her at the hospital.
Rubio's husband, Kenneth “Kenny” Niedermeier, has been able to remain at Hannah's side. Niedermeier had been in Ohio for a family funeral but posted from the ICU on Thursday, relaying a message from Hannah thanking supporters for their well wishes.
Rubio and Niedermeier publicly shared details of Hannah's health issues on Tuesday, noting that her face had become "droopy" and that the left side of her body had lost strength.
