An 83-year-old hiker was rescued from the Grand Canyon after being missing for more than 24 hours, authorities reported on July 25, 2026. The hiker became separated from a friend during an outing in the national park.
Rescuers spotted the individual from a helicopter. Following the sighting, a team was able to reach the hiker and bring him to safety. The circumstances of his separation and the full extent of any injuries were not immediately detailed.
