San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams is facing a lawsuit from OpenRoad Auto Group over alleged non-payment on a 2018 Porsche 911 lease.
According to reports, OpenRoad Auto Group claims Williams has not made payments for 46 months on a 48-month lease agreement that began in August 2021. The lawsuit alleges that Williams paid for the first two months of the lease but subsequently closed the account used for automatic payments. The current whereabouts of the Porsche remain unknown, and the suit states that Williams allegedly sold the vehicle to a company that subsequently sold it to another party without possessing a valid title.
OpenRoad Auto Group is seeking $244,199.28 in damages, which includes outstanding charges, attorneys' fees, and litigation costs. The lawsuit cites claims of breach of contract and fraud.
Williams, a highly decorated player with five consecutive Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro honors, recently signed a two-year, $50 million contract extension with the 49ers. Throughout his 15-year career, he has earned over $242 million. He has been a member of the 49ers since 2020.
