NFL stars Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers were in attendance for Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals between the Golden State Valkyries and the Las Vegas Aces, and both players were struck by the intense atmosphere at Chase Center.

The Valkyries secured a crucial 83-81 victory over the Aces, taking a commanding lead in the series. The atmosphere in the arena, which has been nicknamed "Ballhalla" for Valkyries home games, was electric, drawing high praise from the football players.

"We had an amazing time. Probably the best basketball game I’ve ever been to, honestly," Evans told reporters. "I’ve been to Finals games, a lot of playoff games, it’s hard to beat that atmosphere last night."

Samuel echoed Evans' sentiments, emphasizing the loudness of the crowd. "It sounded a little bit louder than the Warriors game, not gonna lie," Samuel said. "It was rocking in there. They be hooping, they be getting to it."

The Valkyries, an expansion franchise that joined the league in 2025, are now one win away from reaching the WNBA Finals. Their performance this season, culminating in a strong playoff run, has garnered significant attention, including from prominent athletes in other professional sports.
