The San Francisco 49ers organization announced Monday that it will not offer further comment on the arrest of its owner, Jed York, stating the legal matter has been resolved. York was arrested on Sunday in northeast Ohio on charges related to prostitution.
According to court documents, York allegedly responded to an online advertisement on a known prostitution website and arranged to pay $140 for sexual services. He subsequently pleaded no contest to two lesser misdemeanor charges.
The National Football League (NFL) acknowledged awareness of the situation, stating that the matter would be reviewed under the league's personal conduct policy. The 49ers organization's statement came late Monday morning, following the emergence of the arrest details.
