San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, on suspicion of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. The charges were later amended to misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.

Bodycam footage obtained by OutKick shows York appearing stunned as officers from the East Palestine Police Department pulled over his vehicle and took him into custody. During the stop, York repeatedly asked officers their reason for his detainment, stating he was "just driving." Officers noted that York had "a s--- ton of cash" in his rental car, with hundreds of dollars in $20 bills found.

According to an incident report from the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force, York had communicated through an undercover ad on a website known for prostitution and agreed to pay $160 for sex. He reportedly used the name "Joe" in his communications and planned to meet the woman for one hour at a trailer park in Ohio. The footage shows York wearing a New York Yankees t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, while still wearing his wedding ring.

Following a plea of no contest to the amended charges, York was sentenced to one day in jail, receiving credit for time served. He was also ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.

York, who is from Youngstown, Ohio, recently relocated to the state and had filed for divorce from his wife, Danielle Belluomini. The 49ers organization has stated it will not comment on the matter as the legal proceedings are closed. Head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the situation, saying it has no effect on the team. "My view is, as the coach, does it have effect on us as a team? And that's what I continue to answer on from a football standpoint. It has no effect on us," Shanahan said. He also expressed respect for York and his family.

The NFL is currently reviewing York's arrest to determine if it violates the league's personal conduct policy. York has been the majority owner of the 49ers since 2024.
