A luxury superyacht valued at £220 million has docked in Poole Harbour on England's south coast. The 295-foot (89-meter) vessel, named Milky Way, journeyed from the Netherlands, where it was constructed.

The yacht was commissioned by a "mystery billionaire" described as a "keen swimmer," which led to the inclusion of a 55-foot swimming pool on its main deck. Launched in June, the Milky Way is reportedly undergoing sea trials.

Poole Harbour has become a notable destination for superyachts, attracting owners with its deep-water berths, security, and proximity to London. The harbor has received a five-gold-anchor rating from The Yacht Harbour Association, recognizing its facilities and services.

The 2,600-tonne Milky Way is registered to the Cayman Islands, a popular flag state for superyachts. It was built by Dutch shipyard Feadship, with exterior design by Studio De Voogt and interior design by British firm RWD.

Maarten Janssen, sales director at Feadship, stated that the yacht reflects "an intimately close collaboration between the private client and the unified project team," adding that the client had a "precise vision for a unique, full custom Feadship."

This appearance follows that of another superyacht, Nautilus, a 239-foot expedition vessel owned by Thierry Stern, president and CEO of Patek Philippe, which moored in Poole in June. Nautilus can be hired for approximately £646,000 per week.
