A 14-year-old boy has been charged with offenses related to "extreme right-wing terrorism" in connection with an alleged plot to target two mosques in Sutton, south London, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The child was initially arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a vehicle. During a search of an address, officers discovered "a number of documents of concern," a police spokesperson stated.
He has also been charged with racially aggravated criminal damage to property, specifically intending to damage a car window. The Metropolitan Police confirmed these additional charges.
