Bernard Gilbert, a 100-year-old former dance teacher, led a flash mob in Worcester city centre, drawing hundreds of participants for a charitable cause. Gilbert, who has previously gained viral fame for his dancing at Fernhill House Care Home where he resides, directed a performance to Roger Miller's "King of the Road" in Cathedral Square.

The event was organized by the Got2Sing choir, with members and residents participating. The flash mob aimed to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. Participants learned and practiced four distinct dances in preparation for the public performance.

Organizers described the afternoon as "joyful," highlighting the energy and talent brought by the singers. They noted the inspiring presence of Gilbert, whom they referred to as a "local legend."

Gilbert has previously shared his passion for dance, stating in an interview that "once I get on the floor I forget everything, I just concentrate on what I'm doing." His online videos have garnered over 1.5 million views.

The flash mob concluded with applause from the surrounding crowds, marking a memorable community event.
