Tom Hardy to Return for 'MobLand' Season 3, Production Concludes on Season 2
Following earlier reports of his potential departure, star Tom Hardy has been confirmed to return for a probable third season of the Paramount+ series.
Production on the second season of Paramount+'s "MobLand" has wrapped, with the series star Tom Hardy now confirmed to return for a potential third season. Earlier reports had suggested Hardy might not return for subsequent seasons due to alleged friction with showrunner Jez Butterworth.
However, a recent meeting involving Hardy, Butterworth, and executive producer David Glasser appears to have resolved these issues. Hardy is expected to reprise his role alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in a probable third season. The show has not been officially renewed for a third season, but a writers' room is reportedly already at work.
"MobLand" is not airing new episodes this week or next. The first season concluded on June 1, 2025, on Paramount+. The series has been renewed for a second season, with a third also anticipated.
While an official release date for "MobLand" Season 2 has not been announced, executive producer and director Guy Ritchie indicated in May that the show was expected to return "before the end of the year." Given the Season 1 finale in June 2025, a fall 2026 premiere for Season 2 is a likely estimate.
The first season of "MobLand" is available for streaming on Paramount+. The service offers two subscription plans: Essential, an ad-supported option for $8.99 per month, and Premium, an ad-free plan that includes Showtime and live CBS content for $13.99 per month. Both plans offer a seven-day free trial.
Paramount+ itself does not currently offer a free trial, but Prime Video is providing a seven-day free trial for the service. The series can also be added to Hulu or Amazon Prime Video accounts for an additional fee.
