TIME and Statista Unveil World's Top HealthTech Companies for 2026

TIME, in partnership with data firm Statista, has released its ranking of the World's Top HealthTech Companies of 2026. The list identifies global companies utilizing digital technologies to improve healthcare efficiency and reach.

The evaluation considered metrics such as financial performance, industry reputation, and online engagement to compile the rankings. Notable companies recognized include Tempus, a leader in precision medicine; Abridge, an AI medical scribe; Bayesian Health, which develops early warning tools; Overjet, a smart dental X-ray provider; Butterfly Network, a maker of portable ultrasound devices; Maven Clinic, a virtual women's health platform; Spring Health, a mental health services platform; and Osso VR, a platform for surgeon training.

The report also points to several growing trends within the healthtech industry. The inclusion of One Medical signifies the expansion of concierge medicine, a membership-based model that offers primary care physicians better compensation and more predictable hours compared to traditional hospital settings. Many venture-backed technology startups are focused on disrupting the U.S. healthcare system, which is often described as slow and inefficient.

Digital health companies are playing a crucial role in extending healthcare access. Firms like CareMessage and Cadence are assisting hospitals in reaching more patients, particularly in underserved regions, and enabling clinicians to remotely monitor patients with chronic conditions in rural areas. Simultaneously, there is an increasing demand for luxury medical services, such as full-body MRI scans offered by companies like Prenuvo and Neko, often influenced by celebrity endorsements.

Preventative and functional medicine, along with lifestyle changes for longevity, are also gaining prominence. Consumers are showing increased interest in home health tracking wearables like Oura, physical recovery tools from Therabody, and nutrition platforms such as Parsley Health, reflecting a shift towards proactive health management.
