A special Early Bird offer is available from August 10 to August 25. Customers can purchase a $1 voucher to receive $30 off the tablet, an 80W fast charger, a REDMAGIC keychain, and 24-hour early access before the Global Open Sale begins on August 26.
Performance and Display
The REDMAGIC Astra 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, complemented by REDMAGIC’s RedCore R4 gaming chip. This combination aims to enhance the gaming experience through customizable in-game effects, Qualcomm-powered 2K super-resolution, and intelligent management of system resources by Energy Cube 3.0. The tablet is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The display is a 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1504 pixels. It features an 185Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. A Synaptics S3930 touch chip offers up to 2,000Hz instant touch sampling for responsive input. The screen-to-body ratio is 90.1%, and the display includes blue light certification.
Cooling and Battery
REDMAGIC has incorporated what it describes as industry-first liquid cooling technology into the Astra 2. This system includes liquid cooling with server-grade fluorinated coolant, Liquid Metal 3.0, a large 4D VC vapor chamber, piezoelectric ceramic micropumps, and micron-level liquid channels. The design is intended to dissipate heat effectively and reduce thermal throttling, maintaining consistent performance.
For power, the tablet features an 8,300mAh dual-cell battery that supports up to 75W fast charging. The device includes dual USB-C ports, with one supporting up to 75W charging and the other up to 40W. It also offers two-way reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power bank. A dedicated audio output is available through a side USB-C port.
Immersive Features and Design
The Astra 2 includes DTS Ultra-certified dual stereo speakers, dual X-axis linear motors for 4D haptic feedback, and customizable RGB lighting. It also features a multifunctional Magic Key for customizable controls.
The tablet's design incorporates a metal frame with transparent red accents, a visible cooling structure, and RGB lighting. It is dust and water-resistant.
Beyond Gaming
While designed for gaming, the Astra 2 also functions as a general-purpose tablet. It runs REDMAGIC OS 11.5, based on Android 16, and features a 13MP AI-enhanced rear camera and a 9MP front camera. The tablet supports DisplayPort output for connecting to external displays at resolutions up to 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 60Hz. Security features include fingerprint and facial recognition.
