MGM+'s 'From' Renewed for Fifth and Final Season, Leaving Fans with Unanswered Questions
The mysterious town's lore and antagonists were explored in Season 4, but the upcoming final season is expected to tie up loose ends.
The MGM+ horror series "From" has been renewed for a fifth and final season, the network announced. Season 4 concluded on June 28, 2026, leaving viewers with numerous unresolved plotlines.
The series centers on a town that traps anyone who enters, populated by monstrous entities. Residents struggle for survival while plotting an escape. Season 4 shifted focus towards the town's lore and introduced "The Man in Yellow," a primary antagonist who infiltrated the town disguised as a local girl named Sophia.
The town itself, often referred to by fans as "Fromville," has no official name within the series and is only called "this place" or "the town." Speculation about its true name persists among the fanbase.
Season 4 Finale Developments
The tenth and final episode of Season 4 saw significant events, including the deaths of two characters. Elgin Williams, who entered the town in Season 2, was killed by Sophia, who revealed herself to be The Man in Yellow. Marielle Sinclair died at the hands of a creature born to Fatima, after Fatima's clinic talisman fell.
In a pivotal moment, Boyd and his team removed the Bottle Tree, despite a warning from the Boy in White. This action plunged the sky into darkness, allowing the town's creatures to attack Jade and Tabitha. While Jade and Tabitha managed to escape the tunnels with Fatima's warning, the removal of the Bottle Tree and the subsequent disappearance of all talismans has left the town vulnerable.
Future of the Series
Season 5 will serve as the concluding chapter for "From," with production slated to begin this summer. The final season is expected to premiere on MGM+ in 2027 and is anticipated to provide answers to the many questions raised throughout the series' run. Details regarding the specific plot of Season 5 have not yet been released.
