Bec Zacharia, a participant on Married At First Sight, became visibly upset this week while discussing the barrage of criticism she has faced regarding her recent 30-kilogram weight loss and a cosmetic procedure. Zacharia, 36, shared a video clip from a flight where she expressed her distress over hurtful messages received about her diet and body.

She detailed an instance where a follower commented on a photo of a doughnut she was sharing with her grandmother, calling her health journey "bollocks" and accusing her of contradicting her weight-loss efforts. Zacharia stated that she has lost 30 kilograms and is aiming for a moderation-over-restriction approach to eating, particularly after experiencing past struggles with binge eating. She questioned whether posting about enjoying a treat occasionally undermines her commitment to a healthy lifestyle, explaining her typical weekday diet consists of high-protein, low-carbohydrate meals focused on vegetables and lean meats.

Zacharia also addressed comments about her cosmetic surgery, specifically a procedure referred to as 'Barbie waist' rib-contouring, which she underwent in Bali. She clarified that the procedure involved altering her lower floating ribs and wearing a corset for recovery, and stated it was not a rib removal. Zacharia explained that doctors used a small needle and ultrasonic technology with no incisions, and she only required paracetamol for pain relief for four days post-procedure. Despite the backlash, she expressed confidence in her decision, stating she has zero regrets and plans to undergo further cosmetic work, including potential facial procedures, Botox, and fillers. She has been transparent about her surgeries and cosmetic enhancements with her followers.
