Kylie Jenner Launches AI-Powered Smart Glasses With Meta

Kylie Jenner has partnered with Meta, the parent company of Facebook, to release a new line of AI-powered smart glasses. The "Meta Glasses: Starfire Kylie Edition" are designed with a slim oval frame inspired by Jenner's personal style and are priced at $399 (£359).
These smart glasses are equipped with built-in cameras and speakers, allowing users to capture photos and videos and listen to audio content on the go. A unique feature includes a custom sparkling chime that sounds when the glasses are put on or taken off, along with Jenner's voice prompts. Notably, her viral "Rise and Shine" phrase is integrated into the device's startup sequence.
The "Meta Glasses: Starfire Kylie Edition" are part of a broader release from Meta, which also includes two other styles: the "Meta Adventurer" with a rectangular frame and the "Meta Fury" with a bolder design. All models are powered by Meta's latest AI model, Muse Spark, accessible via a dedicated action button.
Meta AI, integrated into the glasses, aims to provide smarter responses to user queries, assist with daily tasks, and understand visual information. The glasses feature open-ear speakers for audio playback without obstructing awareness of surroundings, and a multi-microphone array for calls. The devices offer over eight hours of battery life, with an additional 40 hours provided by a charging case.
Meta plans to enhance the AI glasses experience through regular software updates. Upcoming features include "dynamic photo," which automatically selects the best shot from multiple frames, and pedestrian navigation for displayless glasses. The company is also expanding live translation support to 14 new languages.
The "Meta Glasses by Kylie" are available in three colorways: Classic Black with Black Lenses, Dark Tortoise with Chocolate Lenses, and Classic Black with Transitions Grey Lenses. The other two styles, Meta Adventurer and Meta Fury, start at $299 (£269). These new smart glasses are available for purchase on Meta's website, Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters, Best Buy, Amazon, and in Meta Lab stores.
