A new hotel concept in Malaysia is offering a unique accommodation experience by converting two Boeing 747 aircraft into luxurious suites. Located in Kempas, Johor Bahru, the 1975 Avenue & Hotel has transformed two retired planes, named Bove and Bey, into 18 uniquely themed suites.
Guests can choose from suites decorated in the style of various countries, with each room designed to retain elements of the aircraft's original structure. The suites offer amenities such as an ensuite bathroom, plush bedding, Wi-Fi, and curated comforts. The Premium Suite, spread across two floors, features curved ceilings reminiscent of a plane's interior.
Each suite can accommodate up to three people. Room rates in September range from 1,706 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately £312.50) to 2,786 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately £510.40) per night, depending on the suite selected.
Beyond the aircraft suites, the hotel also provides conventional rooms. The property features a man-made beach pool, a water park, a spa, and a gym. Dining options include Hanareya, a Japanese fine dining restaurant, and Paulaner Biergarten, serving Bavarian cuisine, as well as a pool bar called Mirage.
1975 Avenue & Hotel is situated less than 20 minutes by car from Danga Bay, a waterfront recreational park, and approximately 25 minutes from Legoland Malaysia. The hotel is also a short 20-minute drive from Senai International Airport.
