Hisense Unveils UR9 MiniLED TV with Anti-Glare and Cloud Gaming Features

Hisense has launched its new flagship UR9 RGB MiniLED SmartTV, designed to address common viewing frustrations with advanced color technology and an anti-glare screen. The UR9, available in sizes ranging from 55 to 100 inches, utilizes RGB MiniLED technology, which employs individual red, green, and blue LEDs to produce colors. This contrasts with traditional MiniLED TVs that use white or blue LEDs filtered to create colors.

According to Hisense, this RGB MiniLED technology offers a more vivid and true-to-life color spectrum, with a claimed increase from approximately 39.5% to 75.8% of visible color reproduction. Kevin Ke, Managing Director of Hisense Australia and New Zealand, stated that the technology delivers "the most life-like colour currently available," enhancing experiences such as sunsets, ocean depths, sports jerseys, and skin tones.

A significant feature highlighted is the TV's built-in anti-reflection and glare-free screen technology. This innovation aims to reduce unwanted reflections, allowing for clear viewing even in bright conditions without the need to close blinds. "Bright living rooms are a staple in Australian households, which is why Hisense has continued to innovate on technology and premium features that deliver the best entertainment experience possible, no matter what time of day it is," Ke added.

The UR9 also incorporates AI for automatic adjustments to brightness, contrast, and color based on the content being watched. For gamers, a partnership with Microsoft allows for direct cloud gaming of Xbox titles on the TV without the need for a separate console.

The Hisense UR range which is now on sale in Australia brings vivid colours to life through LED technology providing a more immersive viewing experience

The UR9 is part of Hisense's new UR range, which also includes the UR8 model, sharing the RGB MiniLED and anti-glare technologies. Hisense reported a positive reception from customers and retailers since the range's May launch. The company also offers the ULED MiniLED range for a more accessible option and the CanvasTV, which features a Gallery Mode for displaying artwork when the TV is off. Hisense noted that 75-inch TVs were the most popular size in Australia last year, with a growing trend towards larger screens.

The UR9 is part of Hisense's new UR range which are already a hit with Aussie customers thanks to improved image quality and extras like built-in AI assistance

"At Hisense, we strive to deliver premium value at every price point," Ke said. "Whether it's the flagship RGB MiniLED TV, the UR9 – or our broader ULED MiniLED range, we've worked to incorporate innovative technology and premium features that deliver the ultimate home entertainment experience."
