Grand Theft Auto VI Gameplay Footage Allegedly Leaks Online
An anonymous user on X has reportedly shared several minutes of gameplay from the highly anticipated title, sparking debate among fans.
Gameplay footage purportedly from the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto VI" has been leaked online, offering fans a glimpse of Rockstar Games' latest title months ahead of its official release.
A user on the social media platform X, operating under the handle "CyberLeek," allegedly posted multiple video clips showcasing gameplay. One of the most extensive clips reportedly features a lengthy plane flight across the game's map, demonstrating its scale and environment. Other alleged leaks include footage of driving vehicles and exploring building interiors.
The game, scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, is set in a fictionalized version of Florida, with leaked videos highlighting recognizable landmarks from Miami, such as the Freedom Tower, Southeast Financial Center, and the Kaseya Center. Rockstar Games is planning an official gameplay reveal through Netflix on August 27.
The leaked footage has ignited discussions within the gaming community, with some expressing disappointment with the game's visual fidelity, given the extensive development period. Arguments have emerged on social media regarding the authenticity of the videos. Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, have not officially confirmed or denied the leaks. The videos have reportedly been subject to takedown requests.
CyberLeek has stated an intention to continue leaking footage, claiming a desire to "fight for players' rights" and seeking an apology from Rockstar. Speculation has also surfaced regarding the game's potential lack of physical copies, a decision that has drawn criticism.
Whether the leaked content is genuine or an elaborate fabrication using artificial intelligence remains unconfirmed, but the alleged leaks have significantly amplified online attention surrounding "Grand Theft Auto VI."
