Dyson has entered the dental care market with the launch of its first dental device, the Dyson CameraJet, priced at £419.99. The British company, known for its high-end home appliances, has introduced a toothbrush that incorporates an AI-powered camera and a precision mouth rinse jet.

The device is designed to address the common issue of missed areas during teeth cleaning. Sir James Dyson, the company's founder and chief engineer, stated that the research indicated people frequently miss the areas where plaque forms, such as gaps between teeth. "We wanted to solve three fundamental problems: how to see those gaps, remove plaque, how to improve cleaning performance while brushing," he explained.

The Dyson CameraJet features a built-in camera with a 100k pixel macro lens that scans up to 28 live images per second. This camera uses machine learning to identify gaps between teeth, triggering a precision jet of mouth rinse within 0.1 seconds to clean these areas. Unlike traditional water flossers that use needle-type jets, Dyson's device employs a broad conical-shaped spray designed to sweep and remove plaque more effectively while being gentler on gums and enamel.

The device connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to the MyDyson app, offering users a live stream of the inside of their mouth. The app also provides guided cleaning routines, how-to videos, brushing and flossing insights, coverage mapping, and personalized feedback.

Dyson has also developed a specialized toothpaste and mouth rinse, available in Ginger Mint and Spearmint flavors. These are stored in an 'anti-gravity tank' within the toothbrush, which ensures an uninterrupted jet of fluid regardless of the angle at which the device is held. The toothbrush automatically refills from its charging dock when the mouth rinse is low. The dock also serves as a charger.

The brush head features a dual-bristle design, with firmer inner bristles for stain removal and softer outer bristles to protect gums. Each brush head is equipped with an RFID tag that tracks its usage and alerts users when a replacement is needed.

The Dyson CameraJet is available in two colorways: Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink. The £419.99 price includes the toothbrush, charging dock, travel case, Dyson Toothpaste, and Dyson Mouthrinse. The device went on sale on September 1, 2026, in Dyson Demo Stores and selected retailers.
