Channel Seven has acquired the rights to broadcast "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Australia," reviving the long-running reality series after it was axed by Network Ten in May.

The rebooted version is slated to premiere in 2027, promising familiar humor, adventure, and suspenseful challenges with a new cast of celebrities competing in a jungle setting.

"I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is one of the world's most recognisable entertainment formats. We're incredibly excited to welcome it to Seven in 2027," said Angus Ross, Managing Director of Television and Streaming at Channel Seven. "This is a proven franchise with a passionate fan base... we're looking forward to bringing our own fresh energy and ambition to its next chapter."

The series originally aired on Network Ten from 2015 until its cancellation. Over its tenure, it featured a range of international and Australian personalities, including Frankie Muniz and Barry Williams.

Network Ten announced the decision to "rest" the show for 2027, stating a focus on diversifying content across its platforms. A spokesperson for the network indicated they looked forward to collaborating with former hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects.

Robert Irwin, who co-hosted the series with Morris for three seasons after taking over from Dr. Chris Brown in 2024, expressed gratitude for his time on the show. "I want to express what an absolute privilege it has been to work on this show for the past three seasons," Irwin stated. "I grew up watching this show as so many Aussies do... to be part of the fantastic team that make this series a reality felt like a dream come true."

Irwin also thanked Morris, describing their collaboration as a "truly life-changing experience."

It remains unclear who will host the upcoming Channel Seven iteration of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!"
