Bravo's 'Summer House' Gears Up for Season 11 Amid Cast Changes and Crossover Buzz
The network is reportedly exploring creative strategies, including potential crossovers with other shows, to maintain viewership momentum for 'Summer House' as it heads into its eleventh season.
Bravo is implementing new strategies for the upcoming eleventh season of "Summer House," aiming to capitalize on the increased viewership from its recently concluded, drama-filled tenth season. The network is reportedly focused on sustaining the show's momentum, particularly as key cast members, including Amanda Batula and West Wilson, will not be returning.
Filming for Season 11 is set to begin this weekend. To keep audience interest high, "Summer House" is considering experimental crossover episodes featuring personalities from other Bravo series. Cast members from "Southern Hospitality" were recently seen with the "Summer House" cast in the Hamptons during Fourth of July weekend, fueling speculation about potential collaborations. While cameras were not rolling at the time, the presence of "Southern Hospitality" DJ Maddi Reese and "Summer House" cast member Kyle Cooke, who also DJs, suggests a possible on-screen connection.
One source indicated that "fun crossovers" could occur if they feel organic to the show. Cooke himself has reportedly been seen interacting with cast members from other Bravo programs. He was recently spotted with "Next Gen NYC" star Ava Dash and, on another occasion, with "Southern Charm" star Salley Carson.
The network's creative approach comes as "Summer House" faces the challenge of replicating the success of "Vanderpump Rules," which saw a significant ratings surge following its "Scandoval" storyline. However, "Summer House" is also heading into its new season with an Emmy nomination for unstructured reality program, signaling critical recognition.
Batula, a "Summer House" regular since Season 2, and Wilson, who joined in Season 8, are departing the show. Wilson confirmed his exit, suggesting that his continued involvement might not have led to an enjoyable summer. Despite their departures, Batula and Wilson are reportedly still together.
Bravo has not yet provided an official comment regarding these developments.
