An Australian beauty brand has seen its Skin Sync Foundation become a sensation, amassing an 80,000-person waitlist after selling out within seven days of its October 2025 launch. The product now sells one bottle every two minutes, according to the brand.
The foundation is characterized by its cream-to-serum formula that begins as white and then blends into the skin, adapting in real-time to match the wearer's unique skin tone. This color-adapting technology is a key feature that fans praise for its ability to create a natural, radiant glow without a cakey appearance.
Lust Minerals founder Stacey Hollands described the product as a "skincare-first" offering. "It's a natural yet incredibly hydrating, serum-like formula you genuinely can't feel on your skin. It feels and looks like your skin, but glowier," Hollands told the Daily Mail. She added that the visual transformation as the product blends is a significant part of its appeal.
The Skin Sync Foundation is formulated with ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Australian native botanicals. The multitasking formula aims to hydrate, brighten, and nourish the skin while providing sheer coverage.
Several members of the Daily Mail's team have tested the foundation, with many noting its lightweight, serum-like texture and the ease of application. Deputy editor Savannah Young described the foundation as sitting comfortably on the skin throughout the day without feeling heavy or cakey, effectively softening redness and evening out skin tone while allowing natural skin to show through. Shania, another team member, found that the foundation provided surprisingly good coverage for redness, acne scarring, and under-eye circles, eliminating the need for concealer in her routine.
Hollands spent over 18 months developing the Skin Sync Foundation, going through 15 versions to perfect the formula and pigment technology. She stated the goal was to create a product that simplifies foundation application and feels good on the skin, providing a healthy glow without requiring the user to be a makeup expert. The brand aimed to combine skincare benefits with makeup performance, aligning with a perceived shift in the beauty industry towards more intelligent, multitasking products.
The foundation is available in four flexible base shades: Morning, Daylight, Golden Hour, and Sunset, with plans to release two new shades, Amber and Twilight. The brand emphasized that the pigment-adapting technology, which uses encapsulated pigments, allows the foundation to adapt to undertones within its base shades, making online shade matching more reliable.
Since its launch, Skin Sync has garnered over 770 reviews, with a significant number of shoppers giving it a 5-star rating. Customers have highlighted its lightweight feel, natural finish, and effective color matching as key benefits. The product's popularity has led to its status as one of the brand's best-sellers.
