Apple TV+'s 'Silo' Returns for Season 3: What to Expect
The dystopian drama's third season premieres July 3 with 10 episodes, introducing new timelines and characters.
Apple TV+'s acclaimed dystopian series "Silo" is set to return for its third season on July 3, continuing the story of Juliette Nichols and the inhabitants of a massive underground silo. Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes, maintaining the format of its predecessors.
Following the events of Season 2, the synopsis for the new season teases that Juliette, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, survives her forced "cleaning" but returns with memory loss. As the silo grapples with the aftermath of a rebellion and faces a new threat, the season will also delve into the "Before Times." In this earlier period, journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) are set to uncover a conspiracy with potentially catastrophic consequences.
While drawing inspiration from Hugh Howey's books "Shift" and "Dust," "Silo" Season 3 will also incorporate original storylines and expand the show's narrative. The premiere episode introduces new characters and explores a new timeline, reflecting on the events of the Season 2 finale.
New episodes of "Silo" Season 3 will be released weekly on Fridays on Apple TV+, with the season finale scheduled for September 4. For eager viewers, episodes often become available at 9:00 p.m. ET on Thursdays, the night before the official release date.
The cast sees Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick elevated to series regulars. They are joined by a roster of returning cast members and new additions, including Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Laura Innes, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, and Colin Hanks, who will recur throughout the season.
"Silo" is an Apple TV+ original series, requiring a subscription to the platform. Apple TV+ offers a single ad-free streaming plan for $12.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial available for new subscribers. Additionally, Amazon Prime members can subscribe to Apple TV+ through Prime Video for a reduced price.
