Amazon Rebrands Kindle Unlimited to Kindle+
The subscription service retains its features and price, now known as Kindle+.
Amazon has rebranded its popular e-book subscription service, Kindle Unlimited, to Kindle+. The change, effective immediately, involves a new name but no alterations to the service's features or pricing.
Kindle+ offers subscribers access to millions of e-book titles, along with select audiobooks and magazines, for a monthly fee of $11.99. This price point remains unchanged from Kindle Unlimited. The subscription includes a borrowing limit of up to 20 e-books at a time, which can be read on Kindle e-readers or through the Kindle app on smartphones and tablets.
The service operates similarly to a digital library, allowing users to borrow and return titles as they read. A 30-day free trial is available for new subscribers.
Kindle+ also supports dual format access for some titles, allowing users to switch between reading the e-book and listening to its audiobook. A specific symbol indicates which books offer this integrated feature.
The rebranding follows Amazon's recent upgrades to its Kindle e-reader devices. The company has not indicated whether further changes to the Kindle+ service are planned.
