The 1X Neo, a new humanoid robot weighing 66 pounds, has been launched globally and is designed to assist with household chores. Despite its relatively light weight, the robot is capable of lifting over 150 pounds and carrying 55 pounds.
Equipped with dexterous and human-like hands, the $20,000 Neo can autonomously perform various domestic tasks. According to 1X founder and CEO Bernt Børnich, these tasks include fetching items from different rooms, tidying countertops, folding laundry, unloading dishwashers, and carrying groceries. The robot is also designed to learn additional tasks over time.
The 1X Neo has been recognized by TIME as one of the best inventions of 2026.
