Zuby Ejiofor, whose defensive prowess and relentless energy have propelled him to the NBA, is now concentrating on enhancing his shooting to solidify his professional career. The Atlanta Hawks have emphasized the importance of his offensive game during the summer league, encouraging him to take more shots.

“Yeah, they just tell me to go out there and step up with confidence. Let the shots fly. And I think that’s what I’ve done pretty much all summer league,” Ejiofor told The Post. “But just playing to my strengths, my offensive rebounding, my physicality. Those are some of the things, my effort, those are some of the things I flash on a night-to-night basis.”

Ejiofor's strengths during his collegiate career at St. John's were primarily his rebounding, physicality, and overall strength. These attributes were instrumental in leading the Red Storm to a Big East title, an upset victory over No. 4 Kansas in the NCAA Tournament, and a Sweet Sixteen appearance. Now, the focus has shifted to developing his shooting ability, which the Hawks view as critical for his long-term success in the league. The rookie has embraced this challenge, aiming to integrate improved shooting with his existing strong attributes on the court during the summer league games in Las Vegas.
