Lamine Yamal’s 3-year-old brother, Keyne, captured attention after Spain secured a 2-0 victory against France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals. Cameras showed the young fan waving to his older brother shortly after the final whistle.

Keyne has become a recognizable figure during Spain's World Cup campaign, with his enthusiastic cheering garnering affection from fans globally. During Spain's semifinal win, Keyne was seen sticking out his tongue, a moment broadcast on the SoFi Stadium video board. Lamine Yamal acknowledged seeing his brother's celebration on screen and found it amusing.

The soccer star shared that Keyne had informed him of his planned celebration during a phone call before the match. "I was at physio and he called me, using my mum’s phone, and told me that he was going to stick his tongue out tomorrow," Yamal told reporters, as cited by The Guardian. "So that’s why when I saw him on the screen, it really made me laugh."

Social media has also featured numerous lighthearted interactions between Lamine and Keyne. In late June, Lamine posted a video of Keyne attempting to hit a golf ball at a Topgolf driving range, which resulted in a humorous mishap. After several unsuccessful attempts, Keyne eventually threw the golf ball and ran onto the range.

Yamal has expressed a deep affection for his younger brother, stating, "My little brother means everything to me. I’m in love with him; it feels like he’s my son."
