The New York Yankees ended a challenging stretch with a 12-4 victory on Thursday, their third win in the last 14 games. This road win against the first-place Rays offered a temporary reprieve amid a difficult period for the franchise.
General Manager Brian Cashman indicated that further imaging of Aaron Judge's rib injury, expected during the All-Star break, may not show a complete recovery. Additionally, Giancarlo Stanton sustained a "whole new injury" last month, contributing to the team's recent struggles.
Despite the offensive outburst, which featured 14 hits, the recent performance trend has been a concern. The Yankees are set to play a three-game series in Washington before the All-Star break, seeking to build on Thursday's win and navigate their current slump.
