The New York Yankees' scheduled game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday has been postponed due to storms. The teams will now play a split doubleheader on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The first game of the doubleheader has been moved up from its original 1:35 p.m. start time to 1:05 p.m. The second game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
This marks the Yankees' second doubleheader in four days. Following Sunday's twin bill against the Dodgers, the team will play two games against the Pirates in The Bronx.
The Yankees are expected to start Will Warren and Gerrit Cole in Wednesday's games, should they remain on turn. The team may also call up Elmer Rodriguez as the 27th man for the doubleheader. Rodriguez was summoned on Sunday but did not pitch, as the Yankees opted for a bullpen game instead. He has not pitched since July 10.
