Yankees-Orioles to Play Friday Doubleheader Amid Nor'easter Threat
Saturday's game has been canceled, with tickets for that day eligible for exchange for the twin bill.
The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles will play a single-admission doubleheader on Friday, September 27th, in The Bronx. The decision comes as a nor'easter is projected to impact the region over the weekend, leading to the cancellation of Saturday's scheduled game.
The first game of the twin bill is set to begin at 4:05 p.m. Prior to the opener, the Yankees will hold a ceremony to retire CC Sabathia's number and unveil his plaque in Monument Park.
Tickets originally purchased for Saturday's game can be exchanged for entry into Friday's doubleheader. Only tickets dated for Friday will be accepted for the rescheduled games.
There remains a possibility that Sunday's series finale, Game 162, could also be affected by the approaching storm, with manager Aaron Boone stating, "We'll see."
