Following a shutout loss, the Yankees look to their ace Cam Schlittler to rebound against the Rays' Freddy Peralta in a crucial Game 2.
The New York Yankees face elimination in Game 2 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) against the Tampa Bay Rays on October 5 at 8 p.m. ET. The Yankees are looking to rebound after a 1-0 loss in Game 1, where their offense was held to a single hit. The game will be broadcast on TBS.
Game 2 features a pitching matchup between the Yankees' Cam Schlittler (14-6, 1.95 ERA) and the Rays' Freddy Peralta (10-11, 4.42 ERA). "We're obviously always thrilled when we hand the ball to Cam and hopefully we can go out and put some [runs] on the board to support him…come out of here with a split and head back home," Boone said.
