San Diego Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts left Wednesday's game against the New York Mets in the seventh inning due to an apparent hamstring injury. He was replaced by infielder Sung-Mun Song.
Bogaerts grimaced and grabbed his right hamstring after taking a swing during the top of the seventh inning, prompting his exit from the series finale. Prior to leaving the game, Bogaerts was 1-for-2 with a double. He entered Wednesday's contest batting .219 with 11 home runs, 46 RBIs and a .644 OPS this season.
