England has clinched the One Day International series against Ireland after a commanding six-wicket victory in the second match at The OurCoop County Ground in Derby. The hosts chased down Ireland's total of 165 with ease, reaching the target in just 23 overs.

Fast bowler Issy Wong was the standout performer for England, taking 5-33, her first international five-wicket haul. This performance dismantled Ireland's batting lineup, with the visitors losing their last six wickets for just 25 runs. Amy Hunter was a notable contributor for Ireland, scoring 64, her second consecutive half-century, but found little support.

Despite the comfortable victory, England experienced some instability during their chase. Openers Maia Bouchier and Sophia Dunkley had established a solid partnership of 54 before Bouchier ran Dunkley out. Bouchier was later dismissed after scoring 45 off 31 balls. Alice Capsey and Jodi Grewcock also departed relatively quickly, but all-rounders Freya Kemp and Dani Gibson guided England to victory with an unbroken 41-run partnership.

Ireland's batting lineup, which had posted 281 in the first ODI, struggled in the second match, particularly without significant contributions from experienced players Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast. The series concludes on Sunday in Worcester.
