Carolina Hurricanes forward William Carrier recently celebrated his Stanley Cup win by filling the iconic trophy with poutine. Keeper of the Cup Phil Pritchard shared a video of Carrier preparing the dish, which consists of French fries, brown gravy, and cheese curds, inside the bowl of the Stanley Cup.
Carrier, who won his second career Stanley Cup in June after his first with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2023, opted to line the trophy's bowl with parchment paper before adding the poutine. This precaution is often taken to protect the Cup from food and beverages, and to simplify the cleaning process.
The NHL is preparing to release its 84-game regular season schedule, but the Carolina Hurricanes have continued their championship celebrations.
