Will Jordan became New Zealand's all-time leading try-scorer with three tries in the team's 47-17 victory over Italy in the Nations Championship on Saturday. The 28-year-old back-three player has now scored 50 tries in 56 test matches, surpassing the previous record of 49 held by Doug Howlett.

"It's special," Jordan said after the match. "I think back to when I was a kid, practising my chip-and-chase in the back yard. To think I'd be here today, it's hugely humbling. I've been part of some great teams over the last seven years and, in turn, I hope I've inspired some kids to practise their chip-and-chase, and dream big."

New Zealand scored a total of seven tries against Italy. Sam Darry, Cam Roigard, Ethan de Groot, and Tupou Vaa'i also crossed the try line for the All Blacks. Italy's points came from tries by Tommaso Menoncello and Leonardo Marin. The Italian team also faced a setback when Niccolo Cannone received a red card in the 51st minute for a headbutt on Cam Roigard, which was upgraded from an initial yellow card after review.
