Arthur Fery, a 23-year-old British wildcard, has continued his unexpected journey at Wimbledon by reaching the men's singles semifinals, a feat not accomplished by a wildcard at the tournament in 25 years. Fery, currently ranked 114th in the world, will face French Open champion Alexander Zverev on Centre Court.

Fery's path to the semifinals has been remarkable. Prior to the start of this year's tournament, he had secured only two Tour-level victories. His wins in this event include defeats over Damir Dzumhur, Otto Virtanen, Zizou Bergs, Grigor Dimitrov, and Flavio Cobolli. His quarterfinal victory against Dimitrov marked the first time a wildcard had reached that stage at Wimbledon in over a decade.

The last wildcard to reach the Wimbledon semifinals was Goran Ivanisevic in 2001, who went on to win the championship that year.

The upcoming match pits Fery, who stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall, against the 6-foot-6-inch Zverev, the third-ranked player in the world. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
