Von Miller, a future Hall of Fame edge rusher, has fueled speculation about a potential return to the Buffalo Bills by posting a cryptic message on his Instagram Story. The veteran player shared a photo with Bills quarterback Josh Allen along with a separate image of himself in a Bills hat, captioned “unfinished business.”

The potential return comes as the Bills' defense is seeking reinforcements along the defensive line.

Miller, 37, spent three seasons with the Bills after signing a six-year, $120 million contract in 2022. His tenure with the team was marked by challenges, including a four-game suspension. The structure of his contract also reportedly contributed to the team's salary cap constraints.

Last season, Miller played for the Washington Commanders, where he recorded nine sacks in 17 games. This performance marked a rebound from his production with the Bills, where he accumulated eight sacks in 12 games in 2022 and had three total tackles and no sacks in 12 games in the 2023 season. In his most recent season (2024), Miller played 13 games, registering 17 tackles and six sacks.

Should Miller rejoin the Bills, he would likely fill a depth role. The team has already acquired Bradley Chubb as a starting edge rusher, and Terrel Bernard and Greg Rousseau are expected to be primary players at linebacker. Miller could potentially contribute as a third-down pass-rushing specialist in a reduced capacity.
