Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, and former NBA MVP Derrick Rose have been announced as the cover athletes for NBA 2K27. The reveal took place on Wednesday.
Wembanyama will grace the cover of the Standard Edition of the game. Clark has been selected for the Deluxe Edition, while Rose will appear on the limited-time Ultra Edition.
The Standard Edition is set to be released widely on September 4. The Deluxe and Ultra editions will offer early access beginning August 28.
Both Wembanyama and Clark expressed excitement about their inclusion. Wembanyama described being on the cover as "a dream come true." Clark noted that "this game reaches fans all over the world,” making the cover appearance particularly special.
This marks a return to the NBA 2K cover for Rose, who was also featured on the cover of NBA 2K13. He shared his perspective, stating, "This is a chance to inspire young athletes to stay obsessed with the game. To show them that when you put in the countless hours of hard work, it rewards you."
