Vanessa Bryant has revealed a new collection of Nike Kobe Protro shoes, featuring seven distinct colorways. Among the upcoming releases is a "Polka Dot" pack for the Nike Kobe 6 Protro, inspired by the Bryant family's affection for Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Bryant shared images of the new shoe designs on her Instagram stories, showcasing the "Polka Dot" version in both white and red.
She previously expressed her deep connection to her late husband, Kobe Bryant, by stating, "Kobe will always be the Mickey to my Minnie," referencing their shared love for the Disney characters.
The collection also includes a colorway named "Bellísima," which translates to "extremely beautiful" in Italian. This iteration features a pink floral pattern, deviating from the traditional snakeskin texture often seen on the Nike Kobe 6.
Other announced colorways are the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro "California Mountain Snake," Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro "Dusty Pink," Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro "Iron Man," and the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Eagles." The "Eagles" design pays tribute to Kobe Bryant's fondness for the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team.
Details regarding the release dates for these new Nike Kobe Protro models have not yet been announced. Since re-establishing a partnership with Nike in March 2022, Vanessa Bryant has been instrumental in showcasing upcoming releases from the Kobe Bryant estate on social media.
