University of Central Florida Offers All-You-Can-Eat Hot Dog Deal for Upcoming Game
The Big 12 team is incentivizing attendance with a unique promotion that includes a ticket and unlimited hot dogs, with a few conditions.
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is trying to attract more fans to its upcoming football game against TCU by offering a special all-you-can-eat hot dog package. The promotion aims to boost attendance for the Big 12 conference opener.
The deal, priced at $64, includes a seat in sections 225 or 226 and access to a hot dog stand located at Gate 12. While described as "unlimited," the offer comes with specific terms and conditions.
Fans are limited to two hot dogs per visit to the stand, and the promotion is only valid until halftime of the game. Despite these stipulations, attendees can consume as many hot dogs as they wish within these guidelines during the first half.
As of Friday afternoon, "hot dog passes" were still available for purchase on the university's ticketing website. This is not the first time UCF has employed unconventional methods to draw crowds; earlier in the season, the team offered sword-shaped pretzels.
On the field, the Knights are heading into the Big 12 game with a 2-1 record. However, they will be without starting quarterback Alonza Barnett III, who is sidelined for several weeks due to a hamstring injury. Keyone Jenkins is expected to start in his place.
UCF's most recent game was a 44-30 victory over Georgia State. The team experienced a narrow 12-7 loss to Pittsburgh the week prior.
The game against TCU is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Bounce House stadium.
