Turkish football club Trabzonspor has announced that it has begun negotiations to sign Mohamed Salah. The club stated that the 34-year-old Egyptian forward, who departed Liverpool at the end of last season, is in discussions to join as a free agent.
Trabzonspor confirmed in a statement that Salah is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday evening. Further details regarding his welcome program in Trabzon will be communicated through the club's official channels.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in June 2017 and spent nine years with the club, during which he won numerous honors. These include two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two EFL Cups, along with the Community Shield. He was also part of the Egypt national team that reached the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup.
