Tottenham has shared encouraging footage of wingers Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus participating in training drills, signaling a significant boost for the club as they prepare for the upcoming season. Both players have been sidelined with long-term injuries.

Kulusevski, who has been out for over a year with a serious knee injury, was pictured working with a ball. His return to training, even in a limited capacity, offers a lift to supporters. However, the club emphasizes that he is not yet training with the first team and his reintegration will be a gradual process, carefully managed due to the complexity of his absence. Manager Roberto De Zerbi aims to avoid placing undue pressure on the 26-year-old by setting specific comeback targets.

It has been 450 days since Kulusevski sustained his injury. He underwent surgery and attended the Europa League final in May 2025 wearing a protective brace, but did not play last season. Initial hopes for a December return were unmet due to persistent knee pain, leading to a minor operation in March to address issues within the joint. His injury caused him to miss the World Cup and Tottenham's preseason tour to New Zealand and Australia.

De Zerbi previously stated that a fit Kulusevski is among the squad's best players and expressed hope for his early availability while cautioning against accelerating his rehabilitation.

Also featured in the training footage was Mohammed Kudus, who has not played since suffering a thigh injury in January. His return to training marks another positive development for the team.
