Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly in advanced negotiations to acquire Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, a move that could see Richarlison depart the club. The negotiations are understood to be separate.
Manager Robert de Zerbi has indicated that Richarlison, along with Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr, has expressed a desire to leave Tottenham. None of these players featured in the squad for Tottenham's recent 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle.
"Richarlison, I don't know. He said too many times he wants to leave," de Zerbi stated after the match. "Danso came to me two days ago and he said wants to leave and Pape Sarr the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train."
De Zerbi added that while he maintains good relationships with his players, any departure would require the club to receive a suitable economic solution. Tottenham has invested over £300 million this summer in an effort to improve their performance following consecutive 17th-place Premier League finishes. However, the club currently sits at the bottom of the league table, having lost their opening two matches without scoring a goal.
Richarlison was Tottenham's leading scorer last season with 11 goals and played a crucial role in securing their Premier League status on the final day. Earlier in August, de Zerbi had noted Richarlison's uncertainty about his future, acknowledging the difficulty in finding a comparable striker.
Omar Marmoush, a striker signed on loan from Manchester City, has replaced Richarlison in de Zerbi's starting lineup against Newcastle.
Danso's potential first-team opportunities this season may be limited due to the arrivals of Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, who will compete for a place in central defense. Micky van de Ven's position is further solidified by a new contract and the captaincy.
Sunderland had previously made a season-long loan offer for Danso, which was rejected by Spurs. In midfield, Pape Matar Sarr's playing time could be affected by the signings of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. Tottenham has twice broken their club transfer record fee within a week during their significant summer transfer activity.
The 23-year-old Senegal international has attracted interest from multiple clubs, including several Premier League sides and Turkish club Besiktas. Juventus, however, is reportedly confident of securing Sarr on a loan deal that includes a conditional obligation to buy.
