CBS broadcaster Tony Romo has withdrawn from the M&P Group Texas State Open golf tournament, scheduled to begin Tuesday, following his arrest for driving under the influence in Milwaukee. Romo, 46, was booked for DUI in his hometown on the same day he finished 35-over par in the Wisconsin Amateur Championship.

According to an arrest detention report, Romo was pulled over while traveling south on Interstate 43 in Wisconsin. The report indicates he performed poorly on sobriety tests. His court date is scheduled for September 21.

Romo, who joined CBS in 2017 after retiring from the NFL, is in the middle of a 10-year contract worth $180 million signed in 2020. He played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2004 to 2016, earning four Pro Bowl selections. During his NFL career, Romo threw for 34,183 yards, 248 touchdowns, and 117 interceptions, leading Dallas to the playoffs four times.

It remains unclear if CBS will take disciplinary action against Romo.
