Tom Brady is set to begin his third season as Fox Sports' lead NFL color analyst, with his first assignment of the 2026 season scheduled for Week 1. He will be in Philadelphia to call the game between the Eagles and the Washington Commanders on September 13.

Brady, who is in the third year of a decade-long, $375 million contract with Fox, will be part of the network's top broadcast team. He will be joined by play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi for the matchup. The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field, pitting two NFC East rivals against each other.

In his previous seasons, Brady has shown improvement in his broadcasting role. He received positive reviews for his work during the NFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady has spoken about refining his approach to broadcasting, moving away from an overreliance on prepared notes. He previously described having "too much information" as a hindrance, preventing him from reacting naturally to game action. He has sought to emulate his quarterbacking approach, focusing on comfort and improvisation rather than exhaustive preparation. To facilitate a smoother broadcast, he and Burkhardt adjusted the placement of the telestrator, moving it between them to allow for more natural conversation and to avoid turning away from each other during replays.

Recently, Brady celebrated his 49th birthday with a vacation alongside his children. Photos shared on social media showed him opening gifts on a yacht and engaging in activities like surfing. He jokingly referred to the gifts as "Return On Investment."
