British swimmer Filip Nowacki, 18, won a dramatic gold medal in the men's 200m breaststroke at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris. Nowacki secured the victory with a late surge, finishing in 2 minutes 7.70 seconds, narrowly edging out Dutch swimmer Caspar Corbeau, who clocked 2:07.78.

Austria's Luka Mladenovic took the bronze medal with a time of 2:08.91, while another Briton, Gregory Butler, finished fifth at 2:09.45.
