The Tampa Bay Rays will face the Milwaukee Brewers in the World Series after defeating the Cleveland Guardians in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series. The Rays secured a 7-3 victory to claim their third American League pennant.
This marks the Rays' third appearance in the World Series. The franchise previously competed in the championship series in 2008, when they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies, and in 2020, when they were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team is seeking its first World Series title in franchise history. The Rays also overcame the New York Yankees earlier in the playoffs.
