Sunrisers Leeds established a new benchmark in The Hundred men's competition, amassing the highest team total in the tournament's history with 241-2 against London Spirit at Headingley.

Opener Ryan Rickelton anchored the innings with a blistering 94 not out off just 42 balls. He shared a formidable 148-run partnership for the first wicket with Mitchell Marsh, who contributed a rapid 76 off 37 deliveries. Following this strong foundation, Harry Brook, England's limited-overs captain, unleashed a devastating display of power hitting. Brook reached his half-century in a mere 15 balls, smashing five sixes and five fours. His aggressive innings, coupled with Rickelton's score, saw Sunrisers surpass the previous record total of 226.

Brook and Rickelton added 83 runs in 32 balls for the second wicket, overwhelming the London Spirit bowlers. Rickelton was ultimately starved of the strike towards the end of the innings, narrowly missing out on a century.

In response, London Spirit's chase began disastrously. Reece Topley struck with the opening ball, removing Jonny Bairstow, and the top order collapsed, leaving Spirit at 44-4. Former England all-rounder David Willey offered a resilient effort, scoring an unbeaten 83 from 46 balls to steer Spirit to 204-6, but it was not enough to prevent a 37-run defeat.

The victory elevates Sunrisers Leeds to fourth place in the standings, keeping their playoff aspirations alive, while London Spirit remains in seventh.
