Stewart and Morris Win Gold at Track Cycling World Championships
Great Britain adds two more gold medals to its tally on day three of the event in Shanghai.

Mark Stewart and Anna Morris secured gold medals for Great Britain on the third day of the Track Cycling World Championships in Shanghai. The pair contributed to Great Britain's growing gold medal count at the event.
Stewart, who had previously finished fourth in the points race at the Commonwealth Games, expressed his elation at achieving a world title. He thanked British Cycling, his wife, and family for their support, describing the athlete's life as a "selfish pursuit" that can sometimes lead to a loss of self. Stewart also highlighted the positive cultural changes within British Cycling over the past decade.
In other events, Emma Finucane of Great Britain earned a silver medal in the women's sprint final, losing to China's Yuan Liying, who won in straight rides. Sophie Capewell narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the same event, ultimately losing a photo finish to Japan's Mina Sato. Joseph Truman captured a bronze medal in the men's time trial final.
