NRL player Stephen Crichton and his wife, Leone, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Wednesday. The Canterbury Bulldogs player announced the birth on social media with a series of photos.
Their daughter has been named Praise Vousina Crichton. In a social media post, Stephen Crichton shared his joy, calling her their "greatest, most precious blessing" and thanking his wife for her strength during childbirth.
Fellow NRL players, including Beau Ryan and Mitch Barnett, offered their congratulations in the comments section of Crichton's post.
Crichton, 25, had announced in January that he and his wife were expecting their first child. The couple shared their pregnancy news through a video and photos that included an ultrasound printout and baby clothing.
Stephen and Leone Crichton, who were high school sweethearts, married in August 2025 in a ceremony incorporating Samoan traditions. The wedding was attended by several NRL stars and featured traditional dances and the practice of guests showering the couple with cash to aid their start in married life.
